Revitalize your Femininity and
Start to Feel Like a Woman
You know
the song by Shania Twain – “Man, I Feel Like a
Woman!”?
Sadly, many
of us have lost touch with our feminine side and have forgotten how to feel
like a woman. Feeling feminine when our lives
are so chaotic and everyone demands so much can be a hard task. Working hard,
being constantly on the go and having to be strong for the family tends to
bring out more of our masculine than feminine side. It is important for a woman
not to lose sight of her delicate, intimate, compassionate and sexual side. By
being in touch with this more gracious and gentle side, a woman can feel more
complete, refreshed and fulfilled.
I firmly
believe that when the woman in the house is content and fulfilled, the rest of
the household follows. For the nurturing
woman who feels that it is selfish to take time for herself, is misinformed. Taking
time for you is not a selfish
act! By taking care of and loving
yourself you can offer more of the
fulfilled, happy you to your family.
Women tend to give way too
much of themselves, willingly robbing from their very essence, all for the good of those they love? So if you are feeling out of sorts with
yourself, resentful of your children or family or in a marriage that needs a
little refresh pay close attention. Many
times these issues can be solved by simply nurturing and getting back in touch
with the FEMININE YOU! Think of it as a
reboot to your hard drive, returning yourself to its original feminine state.
How can this be obtained?
One way is
to allow yourself to get to
know and feel comfortable with your body again.
Have a peaceful moment with yourself by taking a bath with candles, bath
salts and music once a week. Try this for a few weeks and see how things
change. Taking the time for a bath is a loving act and something we should all
do for ourselves just to allow ourselves to regroup and feel whole as a woman.
You may not need to continue at the rate of every week once you feel the change
that it brings out it you. I know baths
are not for everyone….showers are much quicker!
Keep in mind that that is not the point.
The point is to TAKE THE TIME
and do something that is unlike you. You
have, in the hustle and bustle of practical everyday life, lost touch with your
inner self. You need to do something
that is out of your comfort zone to find yourself again!
Okay – now I ask you - what are you wearing to bed every night? Take it as an assignment to wear something sexy to bed every night
whether or not there is someone else to do it for or not. Do it for yourself!
One sure-fire way to feel feminine is to wear something feminine. Do this every
night and see how different you feel about yourself, how awakened you begin to
feel as woman. Start with something mildly sexy or something more exciting than
a big t-shirt and shorts. Wear a boy
short, a camisole-set
or baby
doll then move on to more revealing lingerie like a thong or bodystocking!
(All right –
you may not be feeling that feminine yet!) If you do have a significant other in your
life – they will appreciate it as well. It could spark some loving romance into your
life!
Now look
at your hands and toes. Are they
manicured? Do you take the time to make
them look nice? Whether you are the
type who likes to paint your nails or get your nails done. Nothing says feminine like – sexy hands and
feet! So take some time and keep them
looking their best.
When was
the last time you listened to that all-inspiring song by Shania Twain, “Man, I
Feel Like a Woman!”?
Maybe it is time to turn up the music and “dance like nobody is
watching”. Release your energy and your
emotions by dancing or exercising to uplifting music. It will help you feel more alive and
energized and can really do the job of recharging your femininity (or at the
very least, burn some calories).
What not to do:
The last
thing you want to do is treat yourself to food.
Food should never be used an award.
In my years of coaching many women have confessed to me that they use
food to nurture, to bury emotions or as an award for a hard day. If you have found yourself doing this - STOP!
Use the tips I have given you to turn this horrible thigh building habit
around. This is the opposite of feeling
feminine. This is self destructive
behavior that will only leave you feeling fat, not fulfilled.
In
summary, if you treat yourself like a sexy, feminine woman, you will begin to
FEEL like a sexy, feminine woman and then you will begin to BE TREATED like a
feminine, sexy woman! It doesn’t matter
if you have the perfect body or the perfect face. What matters is what is happening on the
inside and what you project on the outside.
